Farooq Remote privacy statement
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This statement explains what the Farooq Remote app, its connection servers and the account website remote.farooqmughal.net keep, and why. Farooq Remote is made and run by FAROOQ MUGHAL (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, Sargodha, Pakistan (SECP CUIN 0357349). We do not show ads, we do not track you and we never sell personal information. The company's general Privacy Policy applies to everything not described here.
1. Your remote sessions
- The picture, sound, keyboard, mouse, clipboard and files of a session go directly between the two computers and are encrypted end to end. When a direct connection is not possible, our relay server passes the encrypted data on without being able to read it.
- We do not record or store the content of sessions.
2. The connection server
So that computers can find each other, every computer running the app tells our server its ID, its public key, its network (IP) address and whether it is online.
3. If you make or use an account
- Your e-mail address (it is also your user name) and your password (stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in readable form).
- When you make an account or ask for a new password, we send a 6-digit code to your e-mail from info@farooqmughal.net. The code is kept only in the server's memory, for 15 minutes; the server's log notes that a code was sent, with a shortened address, the time and the network address.
- Your address book: the computers' IDs, the names and tags you give them, and the passwords you choose to remember there, so that you can connect with one click. Anyone who can open your account can use them — keep your account password safe.
- Your devices: each computer where you are logged in reports its ID, computer name, operating system, processor and memory, the Windows user name, the app version, and the time and network address of its last connection.
- Records: each login (time, network address, device), and a record of connections and file transfers (which computer connected to which, when, and the names of transferred files).
4. Where and how long
- Everything is kept on the company's own server (a virtual server the company rents from Oracle Cloud). Account data is copied every night; each copy is kept for 14 days.
- Account data and records stay until you or the administrator delete them on the account website, or until the account is closed. The web server keeps technical logs (network address, time, page) for a limited time, only to run and protect the service.
5. Who can see it
Only you and the company's administrator. We do not share it with anyone, unless the law requires it. The app contains no advertising or analytics.
6. Your choices
- Delete records and address-book entries on the account website at any time.
- To close your account and delete its data, write to info@farooqmughal.net.
- Uninstalling the app removes it from your computer; its local settings are in the FarooqRemote folder of your Windows user profile.
7. Security
HTTPS for the account website, end-to-end encryption for sessions, hashed passwords, and automatic blocking after repeated wrong passwords.
