Terms of service

Use of Google Drive and OneDrive, file-transfer behavior, saved scan results, service limits and your responsibilities.

FarooqDrive is an independent file-management client. Use it only with accounts and files you are authorized to access and in accordance with applicable law and the connected providers' terms. This document covers the Windows 21.1 Google Drive/OneDrive functionality; the current web edition has Google Drive features. Android, iPhone/iPad and macOS editions are coming soon. Service and user control

You select accounts, destinations and file operations. FarooqDrive does not sell cloud storage, combine provider quotas into a new physical drive, or guarantee that a file can be split across accounts. Google and Microsoft retain control of quota, permissions, availability, account restrictions, recycle-bin retention and service changes. Organization policies may restrict access. No fixed account-count cap is imposed by the app; this is not a promise of unlimited performance.

Transfers and source removal

Copy and Cut/Paste use the app's supported provider operations. Cut alone does not remove a source. Eligible Move operations first create destination copies and verify their contents, then ask for a separate final Yes/No. Only eligible unchanged OneDrive source files support conditional Recycle Bin cleanup. Google source files and original folder containers remain where this conditional cleanup is unavailable. No keeps originals. Same-account Google-native copies preserve the document type and retain originals; supported cross-account exports can change format and do not preserve every provider-specific feature or metadata. Explicit Trash is a separate user-requested action.

Current Windows transfer limits are 1 GiB per file, 10,000 items and 64 folder levels per batch. OneDrive Download-to-PC is limited to 32 MiB and uses memory. These are app limits, not statements of the providers' maximum capacity. Windows file-picker upload and cloud transfers use local disk space and internet bandwidth, including destination verification downloads. Temporary file contents are not encrypted by FarooqDrive. Keep adequate free disk space. Crash leftovers may require manual cleanup with the app closed. Interrupted operations may leave copies at the destination; retries can produce additional copies. Automatic resume after app restart is not provided.

Index, duplicates and interface

Saved scan results are snapshots retained until a successful Rescan replaces them. Ordinary Refresh updates the current listing. Cloud changes can make an index outdated. Duplicate suggestions based on matching names and reported sizes do not prove identical content; the scan never removes items automatically. Review files and maintain backups before requesting deletion. Sorting, appearance and Explorer-style views do not mount cloud accounts in Windows Explorer. Native desktop drag-in/drag-out and continuous background folder synchronization are not included.

Privacy, credentials and software rights

The Privacy Policy explains local credentials, metadata, diagnostics, history and temporary files. Protect the Windows account and credentials you configure. Public source must not contain user tokens, private signing keys or personal secrets. Repository software licensing and third-party notices are separate from these service terms; those notices remain applicable.

Availability and legal rights

The application is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Keep suitable backups and review important operations. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Google and Microsoft names identify compatible services and do not imply affiliation or endorsement. Eligibility, content and ending use

You retain ownership of your content. Meet the minimum account age and legal requirements applicable to you. Do not access unauthorized accounts, distribute malicious or unlawful content, bypass provider restrictions or interfere with the service. You may stop using the app, disconnect accounts and revoke provider consent at any time. This does not delete cloud files. Source-code builds may require their operator's own Google/Microsoft configuration and are governed by their actual deployment and license terms. Read the Privacy Policy and guide.
